What is the apprenticeship all about?

The vocational training as a media technician/media technician in print processing will teach you technical and manual skills in different print house areas and enable you to carry out this work independently later on. You will be assigned to the typography, reproduction, printing and data processing business areas and will transform loose sheets into prestigious books or brochures. You therefore need to be creative and have a sense of responsibility.  If you also have good manual skills and a good technical understanding, you will be able to demonstrate this when processing valuable materials such as paper, cardboard and leather.

Requirements

What you need
Good knowledge of maths, good grades in physics, technical understanding; willingness to stand a lot.

Language skills
You should have good knowledge of German.

School leaving results
We recommend you have at least a good secondary school leaving certificate.
Have you not yet taken your final exams?

Important note: We only offer initial vocational training. If you have already completed vocational training or if you have professional experience, we unfortunately cannot offer you vocational training at Volkswagen.

You will learn the following in your first year of training with us:

  • Maintaining work implements, tools, machines and equipment
  • Processing materials such as paper, cardboard, leather and plastic
  • Producing book volumes and brochures
