Interesting opportunities await at Volkswagen once you have completed your vocational training.
The Wanderjahre programme allows you to gain international experience once you have completed your vocational training or dual-study course at Volkswagen. Participants spend around twelve months abroad. During this time, they assist wherever needed or wherever their qualification and language skills are best suited in production or in specialist departments. The host locations for the Wanderjahre programme vary depending on availability and can include Argentina, China or South Africa, for example. Participants are assigned a local mentor who not only offers assistance on specialist matters, but also helps them to understand the host culture.
The purpose of the talent group programme is to invite the top 10% of vocational trainees from an academic year at Volkswagen to continue on to become trained specialists. If you are accepted into the talent group, we will work with you on a customised development plan tailored to the specific specialist requirements of your intended area. You will also be required to attend at least one specialist and one interdisciplinary training module every six months, and to complete a three-week production placement.
